The following 7 plays were selected from 150 full-length plays, one acts and concepts that were submitted to the theater from all over the country and from around the world – including submissions from as far as England and Australia.

Tales from the Dork Side

by Brian Wild September 25 - November 1

Brian Wild follows 2007's smash hit, Dork Side of the Moon, with a highly anticipated sequel in which our heroes find themselves in a haunted house trying to gain the inheritance of a mysterious uncle.
McBeth

by William Shakespeare/Callen Harty November 13 - December 20

Callen Harty adapted and contemporized the bard's classic Scottish play as McBeth, a modern retelling that places the story of the fallen leader in the context of a modern corporate boardroom. The new version will be directed by Greg Johnson.

Cattywompus

The hysterical comedy centers on a groom whose wedding has to survive a brother with multiple personalities, a mother and her stoner nursing home friends trying to sabotage it, nuns, pirates, and more.

Dina and Darren have read every book, visited every how-to website, and now feel ready to host their first swinger's party.  Seemingly prepared for anything, the excited couple can't wait to throw the party of the year. Unfortunately a mis-click of a mouse button sends an invite to everyone on their mailing list, including their church group, the PTA and Dina's swing-dancing mother.

Television: The Play

by Amanda Jones June 11 - July 18

The production will feature numerous skits and short pieces based on the way we all play with the remote and will include audience participation to help determine which "shows" are watched.

Proud Theater: Decade

by Proud Theater July 23 - July 25

Broom Street Artistic Director Callen Harty co-founded Proud Theater with Sol Kelley-Jones, who has appeared on the Broom Street stage and written and directed for BST. The production will feature the best theatrical pieces, music, and poetry from the ten-year history of Proud Theater, along with new material, and will bring back alumni to perform.

A Woman on Paper

"A Woman on Paper", about the love of two of the most dynamic artists of the 20th century--artist and Sun Prairie native Georgia O'Keefe and photographer Alfred Stieglitz.

Invisible Boy

by Callen Harty September 24 - October 31

A poetic narrative with movement, the play examines sex abuse through the use of words, images, and dance.
